This is a T26-E3 Pershing of the 9th Armored Div. Remagen Germany, March 1945. The T26 arrived in Europe just a few weeks before the end of the war. Originally designed as a medium tank replacement for the M4, it was redesignated as a heavy tank mainly to boost the morale of troops going against the German heavy Tiger tanks. It later served in Korea as the M26
This the the Tamiya 1:16 kit and is only available as an RC kit - thus the oversized antenna. The tank is overall Olive Drab. The yellow sheet on the rear deck is for aerial recognition.
