bf-109e-3 from JG2, Abbeville France, Sept. 1940, Battle of Britain. The bf-109 (later me-109) first saw combat in Spain in 1937 and contnued to serve on the front lines until the end of the war.

This the MPC version of the Airfix 1:24th kit from the early 70's. The decals in this kit were too old to be usuable forcing me to learn how to make my own. I photocopied the kit decals to use as a template for printing a new sheet using decal paper from bare metal foil.
